The images are from photographs of shadows on a gallery floor in the USA. I was inspired by the shadows to create work that represented the “hidden narrative’ of my experience on this trip. The images can be read by touch and by sight.
Screen-printed glass powders on glass sheet, using Bullseye steel-blue opal sheet glass, steel-blue opal powder and reactive ice clear powder. The steel-blue opal glass shows strange characteristics on firing, remaining blue when covered with other glass, or changing to various shades of silver when not covered.
